4 Ways To Style Boots For Work

Boots are a must for fall season, especially if you are commuting to work and need to keep your feet warm! The struggle I have found, a lot of you have shared with me as well, is how to style them with workwear. Now I don’t really think you can style them with a suit for a very formal work environment, but for those of you that have a casual/elevated work environment I think these options are great!

BOOTS WITH CROPPED WORK PANTS

First up is boots with a cropped work pant! These pants are leather ones that can be a fun additional to your workwear but this also relates to those work pants that hit just above your ankle. Most of my work pants, I like to be a little bit cropped so I can style them with flats or heels. When it comes to styling boots with them, it can be a little bit more challenging. I find that a regular bootie makes my ankle look bigger than it is. So I opt for these boots that are tight around my ankle! They fit perfectly underneath my cropped work pants and still give you shape to your ankle.

BOOTS WITH FLARED WORK PANTS

These Spanx work pants are a favorite for me, especially since flared pants are trendy this fall! This gives me plenty of options to style different boots underneath my flared work pants. You can opt for a chic, classic black and white work look or add a colorful blouse and brown boots to bring in some color. For flared work pants, you don’t have to be super picky about the types of boots you style under them. You will just want to make sure that the pant hits the floor just a bit to make your legs look longer!

BOOTS WITH SKINNY WORK PANTS

A pair of work pants I can’t live any season without is the Spanx perfect pant! I have to always find a way to wear them. For the fall, I love to pair boots with them. I love this shorter heel option from Ann Taylor and think the suede is more professional than leather. You could opt for a skinny ankle boot here to make your legs look longer but I think a regular boot also looks great with the pants!

BOOTS WITH BOOTCUT JEANS

Last but not least, is styling boots with bootcut jeans! I have seen a number of influencers styling boot cut jeans on Instagram and was super excited to see them come back this fall. Just like the flared work pants, the bootcut jeans make your legs look so long with a heeled boot styled underneath. Again you don’t need to be picky about the style but I would recommend going with something that has a point to it!
