BLACK PUMPS
Black pumps are are the most important staple to have in your workwear closet! They simply go with everything professional and even if you don’t dress up everyday for work, you are prepared at any moment. I got these from Sarah Flint as an investment and fell in love with them. The heel is the perfect fit and comfy enough to wear all day as they have a supportive arch, which most pumps don’t have. Sarah Flint also gives you an option to choose different heel heights. If you don’t love a super high heel then you can select from something a little bit shorter. I got my regular size in these. If you want other priced heels I have linked some below!
NUDE PUMPS
Another pair of workwear staple shoes to style are nude pumps! Just like black pumps they go really well with most professional workwear looks. I tend to lean more towards nude pumps during the summer since they are much lighter. I style them with more whites, creams and summer colors! Just a quick note on nude heels, you will want to make sure they are the right “nude” color for you. There are so many shades out there so I highly recommend searching around for the shade that suits you. You will also want to look into if you like the suede look or the shiny look. Personally I only like the suede in nude pumps.
LOAFERS
If you are looking for a more casual shoe, I highly recommend a good loafer. These ones are from Sam Edelman and they are so soft/comfy. They look a lot like the Gucci ones but without the price tag:) I have had these for a few years now and they are always a go-to for me when styling work pants or jeans. They are put together and chic but not as professional as heels. I love having white loafers for the summer but have been eyeing some black ones for the fall/winter. I went with my true size in these Sam Edelman loafers!
MULES
Mules are another great flat workwear shoe to have in your closet! Again these mules are from Sam Edelman and a constant go to for me with jeans or work pants. They are easy to slide right on in the morning and head out the door. They are still professional if you are not wanting to style a high heel at the office. I really want more colors of these mules because they go with a lot of my workwear outfits! Also I have been eyeing the Gucci version of these for years but have yet to pull the trigger haha. I will say these Sam Edelman ones look very similar:) I went with my regular size in these mules.
SLINGBACK HEELS
A slingback heel is such a classic shoe! I love incorporating slingback heels into my workwear closet and have realized over the years they are a staple for me. I wish these slingback heels from Sam Edelman were still available because they are so classic and chic. I have dressed these up and down multiple times. The height is also perfect on them for skirts, dresses, jeans or work pants. Plus they look very similar to the Chanel ones (which I did link below). I tried to find similar options for you to add to your workwear closet below!
SNEAKERS
Last workwear shoe staple are sneakers! With the work environment shifting to be more casual, a good sneaker will be a go to for you. Styling sneakers at work is a very “California Tech” thing to do. But now more companies are adopting this style and finding it to be acceptable. Now when I say styling a sneaker, I don’t really mean tennis shoes. There is a big difference between a classic white or black sneaker and your athletics shoes. I personally don’t think I would ever style an athletic shoe to a corporate office but I know there are some of you that can. If you are looking for a professional, clean cut look then I would go with a white sneaker like the ones I have. These are my favorite Veja sneakers! I got them in my regular size.
