We have been talking coats all winter long and honestly I am super excited for that time of year when a jacket isn’t necessary. Even though the spring is {almost} here, a light jacket is still something you want to have ready for those chilly/rainy days. It tends to be that type of weather where the breeze will get you but you don’t want to have something too heavy on.
My go to option would definitely be a nice trench coat. When I say nice I don’t necessarily mean expensive but rather something that can be worn for many years to come. A classic trench coat isn’t just a one time trend. It’s a piece of clothing you will style over and over again so investing in one that looks polished, structured and chic isn’t a bad idea.
This trench coat from Nordstrom is double lined but the fleece lining can be removed. I love this option because it can be worn during the winter and the spring without being too heavy to transition. The hood also detaches from the coat incase that is too bulky for you. I haven’t ever removed it and don’t really notice it at all. The one thing I really love about a trench coat is the strap around the waist. It gives a more defined look so that it doesn’t look like you are drowning in this oversized coat.
Here are a couple other ways I have styled this coat! HERE for a layered work look. HERE for a professional style. HERE for a laid back look.
I just bought a new trench coat last month and can’t wait to wear it into spring! This outfit is so chic!!
