A Light Fall Sweater Dress

This past weekend I headed up to the mountains with some friends for a fun weekend getaway! We stayed in Steamboat, CO and it was so nice to actually see some fall foliage haha. I have been going here since I was younger and I absolutely adore the town. I swear it is right out of a hallmark movie. For the trip I grabbed this light sweater dress with a thicker cardigan for exploring the town. Some days were chillier than others but the day I wore this look it wasn’t too cold out.

Unlike other sweater dresses which can be bulky, this sweater dress is light weight. I love that the length of the dress is just past my knee because I can then style it for work as well! It would be so cute to throw a blazer over the top or style it with this cardigan for a casual Friday look.

A week ago I did a try on session with some Banana Republic finds and this cardigan was one of them. I had a lot of requests to know if it could be more of a coat and my thoughts are yes!! It’s a thick material and drapes beautifully over blouses, sweater dresses, and tops. I have styled it with a tee underneath, jeans and sneakers for a more relaxed look.

I have not shopped at Banana Republic in a while so I was really impressed with both the sweater dress and the cardigan! The material on both are really soft and not scratchy like a lot of sweater material tends to be. I just placed another order to get new items for November which I can’t wait to share:)
