As I continue to explore more work wear options and how to make getting ready quicker, I seem to come back to this idea of wearing the same color on top and on bottom. Searching through the closet to pull out pants/skirt and then trying on a different blouses to see which one works best takes up a significant amount of time in the morning. Instead I have found that having items that are the same color speeds things up a bit. Hence why I am bring more monochrome outfit into my closet!
When searching for monochrome outfits, I tend to shop all one brand. That way I know the colors will be fairly similar to each other. For example, both the top and bottom in this look are from J.Crew! They also have pants that would have gone very well with this cashmere sweater. It’s helpful too if they are from the same brand because you can see how they would pair together when checking out.
