Fall is in full swing! The days are chilly and the evenings are even cooler. This is right around the time I start to bring out my coats to wear. Over the years I have invested in a few coats that are staples in my fall/winter closet. I love a good neutral colored coat, one that will go with most workwear looks. This neutral wool coat is from Everlane a few years back but I linked below the J.Crew version of it. I know they are a splurge but to me a coat is like a bag. You don’t need a ton of coats like a top or pants. You can have one coat and style it over and over again, especially ones that are great quality. Quality over quantity:)
Another item that is a staple for me for fall workwear are a neutral sweater. During this time when its a little chilly out, I love styling a sweater over a pair of work pants with heels. It gives it that effortless work look. If you want something a little more formal, try a lighter material neutral sweater and style it under blazers. This is another great way to get more use out of your sweaters this fall. If your work environment is more casual then try styling a sweater with black pants and sneakers!
Last but not least in my fall staple work wardrobe is a pair of black work pants! I have way too many black pants haha but they just work. They work for most work environments, any occasions, season or outfits. These ones I grabbed from J.Crew many years ago, probably when I first start my job, and have loved them ever since. I also love how J.Crew keeps it’s staples around for years and years especially since I like to order new pairs of the same styles I already have!
