Happy Friday! I am still reminiscing on spending this past weekend in NYC with Jeremy. Unfortunately, this weekend will not be as exciting haha. It’s supposed to rain all weekend long, so I will be curled up on the couch binge watching Ozarks 2! Anyone else planning to watch this season?
I really wanted to create a fun travel guide for y’all on EVERYTHING NYC… but then you might as well have read a book haha. There truly is so much to do/see. We walked about 10-12 miles every single day and still did not see everything I wanted. Since I don’t feel like writing a novel on NYC, I have split up my list of “Must See’s” and “Extra See’s”!
MUST SEE’S
- Central Park: Inside Central Park you will find The Loeb Boathouse, Sail boats on the pond, Paddle boats on the pond, & Metropolitan Museum of Art. I HIGHLY recommend renting bikes and biking through the park.
- Rockefeller Center: Here go inside the NBC studios, see the Today’s Show & head to the Top Of The Rock.
- Times Square: Walk around the square while stopping into all the fun shops like H&M, Forever21, M&M store & The Disney Store.
- Empire State Building: You have to see this because Elf was filmed here haha. One of my all time favorite movies!
- Little Italy: We walked the streets here, stopped at a random Italian restaurant, and grabbed a scoop of gelato.
- China Town: If you are looking for knock off designer brands, this is your place! They have so many different vendors on the streets selling this stuff. If thats not what your into then I suggest popping into one of their Chinese restaurants because they are true authentic Chinese!
- 9/11 Memorial: Hands down one of the most breathtaking thing’s I have ever seen. It can be really emotional but something you have to see for yourself.
- Brooklyn Bridge: I suggest going either earlier in the morning or closer to the afternoon. It is packed with people during the day and can get really frustrating to navigate all those people.
EXTRA SEE’S
- Refinery Rooftop: If you are looking for a rooftop bar with a spectacular view this is my absolute favorite! You over look the Empire State Building.
- Color Factory: I suggest buying tickets for this early! We really wanted to go but it was sold out before we even got there:(
- Rose Wine Mansion: Also buy tickets early! They were completely sold out during out dates but everyone raved about it.
- Good Enough To Eat: If you want to do a picnic in the park then call ahead and place a “picnic in the park” order. They give you a basket, sandwich, salad, drink and dessert! Best experience I have had in NYC.
- Highline: This is built on top of old railway tracks and goes for miles! It is super cool to see and walk along. You can get off at any time but you need to see it.
- Soho: Has some really great shopping. Includes high end designers as well as some of your regular stores as well!
- Bella Vita: If you want some amazing pizza in NYC then this is your place. The slices are HUGE! It is located in Times Square.
- 230 Fifth Rooftop Bar
- Top of the World Trade Center
- Spy Glass Bar
- Jacob’s Pickles
- Greenwich Food Tour
- Waitress On Broadway
- Lastly, I highly recommend looking up speakeasy’s in the city! They are so fun and there are tons of them. You have to find them because they are truly hidden. If your looking for something different to do at night then find yourself a speakeasy!
We created a fun little vlog of our time in NYC that you can check out below!
