Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend:) I am still here in the UK but I head home tomorrow! It’s funny that by the time I get adjusted to the time I will have to readjust again haha. It was so nice to see family while I was here and we got to get out over the weekend and explore some of the countryside!
Since it’s a Monday I wanted to share how I get prepared for the week! Every Sunday I always try to complete a couple different things to set myself up for a good week.
On Sunday I try to spend the afternoon completing my To-Do list! All week long I write down little tasks that need to be done in a notebook. Once I complete all of the small tasks I feel like I am ready to start the week. Some of the tasks can be as simple as picking up shampoo and conditioner or can be more time consuming like vacuuming and dusting my place. To me they are all things that take time out of my week if I don’t complete them so I like to get them out of the way. Sometimes I manage to get through the full list and other times I get about half way. But for me, mentally, to be able to cross things off a list gives me a lot of relief.
Sunday night I love to take a bubble bath. Even if I have some blog tasks to work on, I set my laptop on my bath caddy and complete what I need to. It’s so nice to just sit, relax and mentally prepare for the week. My weeks are constantly on the go so finding sometime to myself is an absolute must. It gives me a chance to think about the week ahead and my priorities.
In the mornings I have a similar routine that I follow to get ready. But Monday morning I try to wake up about 30 minutes early to help kick start my week. During this time I get coffee, Listen to the news on my Amazon Echo and start getting ready. I find that starting a little bit earlier allows me to take my time getting ready.
Since I allow for more time on a Monday to get ready, I always end up dressing up a little bit more than most of the other days. The Ann Taylor outfit above would be a prime example of that. I love how bright and colorful it is as well as professional and chic! By starting off the week dressed up it really helps me get my Monday started off right!!
I would love to hear what you do to get your week going and started off right! Hope you have a fabulous week?
