Happy Wednesday:) Getting back into the swing of things have been hard after spending over a week out of office! Going through all our photos has me reminiscing on all the places we got to go. Instead of staying in London for the full week, we hired a car and headed off on an adventure around England. Thankfully the weather was beautiful and we got to see the gorgeous countryside for all its beauty!
To give Jeremy a full view of some english countryside we headed to the Cotswolds! An area of England I have been dying to go to but never had a chance. There are many different small villages that make up the Cotswolds. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to all of them but made a stop at my favorites!
Since there are so many little villages to visit, I thought I would do a round up of the ones we saw and the things we did there. Maybe one of you will be heading there soon:)
Bibury: This is where the pictures above where taken! It is a place called Arlington Row with all these little homes lined up. They are so quant that Jeremy couldn’t fit through the front door. I loved walking around here and didn’t want to leave. All the homes had beauty gardens which was inspiring me to grow some plants:)
Bourton-on-the-Water: This was Jeremy’s favorite place and somewhere I had actually been when I was a little girl. There is a river that runs through the town with small bridges that go over it. We stopped and had an ice cream and then sat at a pub on the water and people watched!
Broadway: This might have been my favorite town out of all of them! We stayed one night in a tiny room above a pub and it was such a sweet little room. There are shops and pubs all along the high street. But my favorite thing in Broadway is the Broadway Tower! It is a small little Tower with the most gorgeous views all around. I could have spent hours there. Something I highly recommend seeing!
Chipping Campden: Jeremy and I really loved this town. The stone on all the buildings was beautiful and there was wisteria crawling up all the homes. I wish we could have stayed longer here but we only spent about an hour. We grabbed drinks at a place called Huxleys and I highly recommend stopping in! It was the small old building on the outside but the inside was modern and the staff were amazing. We will definitely be back here.
Stow-on-the-Wold: If you are looking for a small village with tons of history, coffee shops and shops this is the place! My favorite shop was here and I wish I could have brought everything. It was called Cutter Brooks and reminded me a lot of Anthropogie but with an english twist. We walked up and down the high street and sat in a pub for lunch here!
Hope you are having a great week:) I am off on another adventure on Friday and I can’t wait to share all the details! It is going to be so much!!
