Here is to a new year! I always love to look back on the year to see how far I have come. This blog grew so much and it’s all thanks to you:) I love sharing how I style workwear with each of you and hearing your feedback. It’s an area that I know many of you have been searching for. I am excited to see where 2022 takes us and what fun looks we can create together! Below are my top workwear looks from 2021 that you loved:)
#1 WORKWEAR LOOK
This by far was the favorite look from the year! I love how simple it is too. Despite me loving a good blazer, not all work outfits need one. I styled this in the middle of summer so it was warm out and having a jacket would been too heavy. The sleeves were dainty and polished enough to be able to style on their own. The pop of green gave a bit of color without being too over powering!
#2 WORKWEAR LOOK
This all white outfit for the winter is a favorite of mine as well! I love the crisp feel of white during the winter. It’s bright and cheerful which makes those dark winter days not so hard to bare. The best thing about the white coat or the white sweater dress is that they are both staples. Items that you can wear with multiple other outfits!
#3 WORKWEAR LOOK
I loved this summer professional workwear look! We are no where near summer yet but I can’t wait to style this dress more. The cream professional dress is a great staple that can be worn with or without a blazer. If you are like me and love to always wear a blazer, then highly recommend looking into a cream dress as a great base for all your different colored blazers!
#4 WORKWEAR LOOK
Winter workwear but make it a little casual! This outfit it one that will carry you through the winter. The half zip sweater is a trend right now and while I think you can take this one and style it with jeans, I wanted to make the trend workwear appropriate. I love the relaxed look on top and the professional feel on bottom. It keeps you cozy in the office! Also need to mention this coat because… WOW… I love this coat. It’s expensive, so wait for the sale, but the fit is incredible. The coat is so flattering and makes any work outfit look feminine!
#5 WORKWEAR LOOK
Talking about staples, this whole look is what I call a staple workwear look. Everything you see styled here are staples in my workwear closet. Items that can be worn together or worn separately but overall things you will wear for years to come.
These black pants were a hit from Ann Taylor. I wish they were still in stock because the fit is incredible. Plus it has a dainty cuff at the bottom of the pant. The blazer is something I have had for many years. It’s from J.Crew, a little pricey, but the quality is amazing!
#6 WORKWEAR LOOK
Definitely seeing a theme here with these workwear looks! This satin skirt is another staple in my closet. I love the length of it and how easy it goes with different outfits. It’s a light weight material with a stretchy waist band so it works perfect for the summer when you don’t want something too tight to you. I also really love that it’s a different take on a pencil skirt. Still professional but not as form fitting as a pencil skirt.
#7 WORKWEAR LOOK
Another one of my favorite black and white looks made it on the top 10! I wanted to give a different way to wear a black and white look. Something that still used your staple pieces, black pants and a white button up, but gave it dimension. This past year, throwing a cardigan around my shoulders has been a thing for me. I love how chic it looks while still being polished! I love to style outfits like this while working from home as well. It’s easy to put together and the top half is zoom call approved!
#8 WORKWEAR LOOK
You all loved this coat so much as I did! The marbled look and the wool texture is everything you could need in a coat. I loved styling this coat different ways but my favorite was probably with this black on black outfit. It made the coat really pop against the black. The fit was also perfect for giving some shape to your body but still a relaxed fit. The length of the coat is also perfect for keeping your legs warm throughout the winter. If you don’t like wearing heels during the winter since your feet can get cold, I would switch these heels out for some suede booties!
#9 WORKWEAR LOOK
This year the work environment really transitioned to being a lot more casual than it had been. I had a lot of requests for styling more denim looks at the office and this one was by far your favorite! It’s simple and easy to put together. One that you can transition to more professional if needed, by simple switching the denim for work pants. I also love that it’s a great top half for zoom calls. The blazer and t-shirt underneath are very California tech!
#10 WORKWEAR LOOK
Last but not least, this all white summer workwear look! Many of you said you were nervous about styling all white for work. But then this post was a big hit! Hopefully you took a chance and at least tried to style white work pants?! These ones from J.Crew are my absolute favorite (I also have them in black). Since this was a summer look, I took a white linen blazer and styled it over a white casual top. I love how clean and polished it looks together. But since each piece is a staple, you can style this look many different ways; white linen blazer with white top and black pants, black blazer with white pants, colorful blouse with white pants, etc. The outfits are really endless here!
